"Home" by James Young

This is my house. It is located in Cornish New Hampshire and parts of it are from the mid 1800s. This is a cool picture because it has a foreground, the stonewall. A mid-ground, the house and the trees. It also has a background which is the hill.  It is called Smith Hill and my family owns a large part of it.

This picture shows my pond. I usually swim in it during the summer. As you can see my dogs are about to take a nice cold swim in it. This is not a natural pond. It was man made in the 1940s. This picture is very interesting to me because it shows all the trees reflecting.

This is my favorite picture that I took. I really like it because the bark designs are very cool. I also like how there is a bowl crater in the tree. You may think that this picture only shows the tree but if you look closely it shows the mountains in background.

This picture was taken next to my house on my tennis court area. It overlooks a few historical things. Like a stonewall and a haytedder. My property is covered in stonewalls because the land used to be all for farming. These walls were meant to keep animals in.

This picture shows a haytedder. It is very old and was used a long time ago. When I first arrived in Cornish we found this in our field. My father moved it to the side of my barn. Although it cannot be used anymore it does make a very cool decoration.
