"My House" by Tanner Tuthill

My mom wanted her dream house, which was a log cabin; luckily my dad was a carpenter and worked on houses all the time. The house was in Norwich and my parents bought the house and then rebuilt it here in Sharon, and then built the other people a house (the people they bought it from). Here are some pictures of the outside of my house.

It only took 6 months to build the house and the first thing he worked on when he got up was the kitchen.

It is kind of a no brainer that he would work on the dinning room after the kitchen.

After the dinning room he worked the living room. The way my dad got to build this house is he had to re-build every room as is, he had to get the measurement of every corner on the ceiling and floor of the house inside and out.

After my dad finished the upstairs he worked on the basement and there is a funny story about these stairs. I was about 2 years old my dad was building the stairs and there was nothing on either side of the stairs and the phone rang and he was in a working mood so he set my down at about the top of the stairs and went to get the phone and then herd a thump, thump, thump and I had fallen all the way down the stairs.

          This is my room

My parent’s bedroom.  My dad’s sanctuary is to the right of this picture.
