"Fun" by Sarah Demers

Fun is a very important aspect in Hartford High School. Heather and Kennede are having fun simply just gossiping about boys and sports events. They are really connecting with each other and at this very moment, I don’t think there was much else on either of their minds than the conversation they were engaging in. Many girls in public school have lots of fun memorable times this way. There are times when we get to talk and have fun conversations many times throughout the day and we are lucky to receive so much recreational time to spend by ourselves, and with others.

Fun is all over the place. It’s everywhere you go and everyone has fun no matter how dull or boring they seem. I captured this picture of JJ because in my mind, the main aspect of fun is laughter. You may not realize it but every time you laugh at something or someone else is laughing, fun is in the room. JJ found amusement just sitting at a desk with Blayne doing their work in Ms. Webbers’ class. Nobody really thinks of work or school as ‘fun’ but people enjoy these things all the time. If you’re looking on the bright side of things, we’re surrounded by fun all the time.

These girls are in English class working on their photo stories. Yet at the same time, they are dancing to the music playing in the background, and laughing, having fun with each other. The boys in the back are still hard at work. Others dancing and laughing in Hartford is nothing unusual to them and doesn’t even distract or phase them.

This is James having fun being Jim Young.
